Bob Longworth – DPodM MSc (Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics)
Bob Longworth is a Musculoskeletal Podiatrist with over 35 years of experience in orthopaedics and sports injury management. He graduated from Salford University in 1986 and later earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics from Staffordshire University in 2004, where he now teaches. He has also taught biomechanics at the University of Malta and contributed to the development of their podopaediatric course.
Bob has completed advanced training in rheumatology, pharmacology, steroid injection therapy, foot mobilization techniques, and fascial manipulation. He has presented at both national and international conferences and received the NHS Excellence in Education and Research Award in 2015.
In addition to his clinical work, Bob has volunteered with the charity Calcutta Rescue, treating leprosy patients in India, and serves as the Podiatry Coordinator for Festival Medical Services at major UK festivals. A family man with 3 children, Bob oversees the care for Leeds United players even though he is a lifelong Manchester City fan. He provides expert advice based on the latest research and also offers steroid injections as part of his treatment approach.
